So guys, you may be aware it's crunch time and all the final assignments are due in less that 24 hrs so everyone in DMA is pretty much getting whiplash from blog updates. I don't even know if that makes sense but I'm a little bit sleep deprived so forgive me. Here is a website mockup we had to do for Joe's webdesign class. I am pretty happy with it. I worked with Terry on this as we had to work in pairs. He had some great ideas and innovative design concepts. We had strict guidelines and restrictions to follow for this one so lots of planning and tweaking went into it. On a side note, Terry's moving on to do Business studies so he won't be back next semester for DMA. He's got good ideas and lots of passion so I'm sure he will do well in that field. A big thanks goes out to him for helping out in the assignments we worked on and for being a cool dude to crack jokes with in the back of class. So after you check out the mockup, check out his blog and his work from DMA: TERRY'S BLOG.

Android App Development
In our Photoshop Graphics class we have been asked to plan and design an app for the Android phone platform. The app concept was given to us and we just needed to design the interface, widget, and logo while doing our best to stick to Android design standards.
The purpose of the app:
An application that serves as a portal for movie reviews, showtimes, locations of theatres and allows users to buy tickets. As well the app must allow users to search for resteraunts near by, read reviews, check menus and book seating reservations.
Here are some concepts for logos, and sketches I have made for my design:

Walk The Line Banners
We were asked to duplicate and resize banners for the movie "Walk the Line" in our Flash class with Andrew Tedford... Here is some of the work I did along with the help of my fellow classmates. Thanks go out to Terry, Diana, Gerard, and Andreas from DMA.

Nissan Trucks Flash Concept Site
In this Flash assignment we had to take a still ad and create an interactive flash concept site using the same assets. Then we were asked to find assets for 2 other vehicles (pictures, logos, etc) and integrate them into the flash site. Though the content for all 3 vehicles are the same you get the idea from this concept flash site. I chose to add some sound fx and buttons that open blurbs on the image. Check it out and mess around by clicking on the buttons and Nissan logo.
PS. I am not affiliated with Nissan and this project is just for education purposes. Enjoy!

Depth of Field Assignment
Hey guys! More fun photography stuff! I am really happy with this assignment since I really like Depth of Field still life shots. Here I chose a subject for my shot that I thought could bring some Holiday Cheer! Yay! (being sarcastic) I actually just wanted to work in the dark with bright lights. So here are my shots:

Better Late Than Never
Hey guys,
We had an assignment some few weeks back and we were asked to create an art gallery for a mock client called "BONEFISH Designer Gallery" where we would display our deck designs from first semester. We had to include an artist BIO and show our deck design in the page. This assignment was cool because it was one of the first where we had to gather assets, take photos, and design a concept in Photoshop for the site. I liked it.

Album Art Assignment
In my Typography class at Seneca College I had an assignment where I had to design album art concepts for an artist/band. I was totally unsure who I should choose but the answer became evident after driving to school and listening to the radio. His songs are in heavy rotation all over the airwaves in North America. I went to Florida last April and he was a huge deal down there in the music scene. I went to Vegas in August and everyone sings every lyric to his verses in the clubs when his songs come on. This guy is the Canadian rap artist that is changing hip-hop and making Toronto a name in the industry. DRAKE (Aubrey Graham). So here they are, I hope they can visually compliment his great music.

Web Design Mock-ups
In Web Design class Joe has taught us some of the techniques and guides for designing a business/professional web layout. So we have been assigned the task of making our own client mock-ups. The part I like best is that we got to choose ANY 5 websites in the world wide web and redesign any 2 from our choices. So I randomly chose the John Deere Gator Utility Vehicle Website and a site for a prospective client starting a clothing company called Sexymbol Clothing. Check them out:
