Charlize Theron... Spread Em!

Here is a mock GQ cover and spread article. I created it for my print class and I really enjoyed doing it. It was especially easy to work on this because the content is so... pleasant.

Lamborghini Aventador... PRINT IT!

Hey. It's been a million years since I put anything up here but I just realized I never posted a lot of my print work. So check out these items that I created!

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Promotional Magazine:

I really liked working on something that would become a physical product. Print is fun and I look forward to doing a lot more of it since most of what I do is web based.

Soundscape Tutorial

STEP 1:

· Go to www.google.com

· Type in field "Flash ActionScript HYPE framework"

· Download HYPE.zip

STEP 2:

· Open HYPE>examples>Flash>SoundAnalyzer>Open -01_soundAnalyzer.fla

· Once open go to the library and change MyCircle to a PNG of your choice (in this case the DEV logo, the name of the artist that sings the song.

· Go to 'Actions' tab and look for:

var snd:Sound = new Sound();

snd.load(new URLRequest(“http://www.hypeframework.org/HYPE/examples/SoundAnalyzer/Blevin_Blectum/Gular_Flutter/Foyer_Fire.mp3”));

snd.play();

· Replace

· http://www.hypeframework.org/HYPE/examples/SoundAnalyzer/Blevin_Blectum/Gular_Flutter/Foyer_Fire.mp3

· to desired link (if you are using personal song make sure to upload it onto your personal server in the same directory as listed in your action code. This is because the code references music clips online)

STEP 3:

File>publish settings>publish

Copy .swf file and .html onto personal server and enjoy.

Soundscape using HYPE Framework AS3

I was messing around with the HYPE files and wanted to combine the color-gradient with my music visualizer so that I had a cool custom visualizer. But then I wanted to replace the little visualizer assets with the Artist LOGO! I chose the song 'In the Dark' by DEV. She's pretty awesome and Smexy aswell. So check out what I got. I will throw up a tutorial giving some details on how I did this!

CHECK IT!

The song in this animation is property of Universal Republic and I do not have rights to redistribute it or make profit from the song. So if you want the song please purchase it and support the artists and thieving higher-ups that make money off of them.

For those that still care. Advanced ActionScript

For this assignment We had to create a winebottle mock up with assets created in Flash using the Hype Framework Actionscript 3.

We used butterflies as an asset for creating our label

Here is my application of the label asset with added text and design.

This is my Wine Bottle created with Illustrator and Photoshop along with Adobe Flash and ActionScript 3 to create the pattern on the label. Hope you like it!

Made with 100% Fermented Butterfly Blood.. mm... taste great with cheese!

DMA423 Blog

Today in class we looked for background images and assets as well as sound fx and skateboard reference images for our game. Getting pretty excited. I also overlooked some of the code that we got from our Prof. Jasmine Bashaj and we talked about storyboarding. Looks like we got some work to do before we get into the production process but it should be good! Can't wait to give you guys the final product to try out. Catch you by next week! :)

We're Making a Video Game!!!!

For our Interactive Development class we are making a video game in Flash. We had to choose from a few company's to create an interactive game to promote or market the brand. We chose Vans and we are focusing on their shoes and skate culture for the content of the game. So far we have redesigned the logo for the game and we have also chosen our 'characters' for the game. They are Shoes! Check em out!

Back Once Again... It's The Incredible

Im back on the blog! and I've returned with Flash!

No... Not that Flash...
Adobe Flash... and ActionScript

For our first assignment in ActionScript class with Andrew Tedford we messed around with some HypeFramework code and some original brainstorm ideas to make some funky art assets with Flash.

The idea here was to develop some cool background assets or art pieces using code and butterflies! Yep... Butterflies. I just yelled out butterflies in class and Andrew decided to go with that as our item of inspiration. Check out what I got....

This is using the variableVibration code... with my own original butterfly icon

Here is another render with my own color inputs. Pretty funky and bright. I like it.

What do you think?
